Are you serious about weight loss? If you have shown any interest in your own weight loss, you will have (no doubt) seen some great weight loss success stories. I know that most people who are overweight would love to have these kinds of results from their own healthy weight loss plan.
WHY Do Most People Never Get These Serious Weight Loss Results?
There are a few things that are majorly overlooked, from the onset, by the person who wants to lose some weight. The primary thing that people fail to understand is that it isn’t “willpower” that will hold them back or let them down but the power of WHY which they simply overlook.
If you have a very good WHY, you want your results before you start. With such a mindset, you have taken the most important step on the journey of your very own weight loss success story.
The power of why is massively underestimated. If you have a good-enough reason to get your results, you will not find any excuses because you will always create the time to prepare good food and you will also never miss your exercise. You will power towards your goal, jump the hurdles that are put in your way and you WILL get your results — no question about it!
HOW To Find Your “WHY”
Many people will automatically find their why. They will go to their GP and be told that, if they do not lose a lot of weight, they will suffer serious health problems and they already have limited time left. This is a good-enough reason for most people.
After being told this, many people will be a totally different person six months down the line; they would have lost most of their excess weight and feel healthier than they have ever felt their whole life.
When this kind of transformation is achieved, it gives me joy! It is great to see someone regain their life, confidence and happiness; but why wait until you develop the risk of serious health implications?
If you know in your heart that you need help with weight loss, you should ACT NOW. The sooner you act, the better for you. If you need to find your power of WHY, I am happy to put you on track.
Remember that this is your very first step! If you are struggling with any diet or exercise plan, just put the idea out of your head for the time being until you have your power of WHY.
We know that you want to lose weight because you are reading this page but WHY do you want to lose weight? Most people will never really search deep within and find the answer to this question.
Do you want more confidence?
Would you like to look in the mirror and smile at what you see?
Would you like to fit into clothes that you wore 10, 15, or 20 years ago?
Would you like to start running or take up a sport that you love?
Would you like to be able to do active tasks without being out of breath or tired?
Do you want to be more attractive to the opposite sex?
You should make your own list at this point. The list can go on and on. But you need to be 100% honest with yourself. The beauty of an online weight loss program is that you don’t even have to tell anyone what your reasons are.
I know that a lot of people are very selfless and their reason for wanting to lose weight may not be on their own interests but for the joy that somebody else will derive. If this is you and you are trying to lose weight, you are obviously doing it for a reason. So, to find your reason, you have to consider who you are effecting or making happier with your decision. You should create a list of people that your weight loss will also benefit.
Are your children getting the most out of you as a parent?
Do you pass up opportunities to partake in activities with your children because of your weight or fitness level?
Is your partner happy with your weight and fitness level?
Do you miss out on social activities with friends?
Do you hold anyone else back?
I know these are all fairly personal questions and it may upset you to answer them, but, sometimes, you have to face up to the cold, hard facts before you can make any progress. It may upset you to answer these questions, but believe me, it will help you break barriers you didn’t know existed and finally get those long-awaited results.
Be honest with yourself and you will find some powerful reasons. These reasons will be your greatest weapon in your battle with weight loss.
If you are serious about weight loss and really want results, you can take some time out to find your WHY. List these reasons down before you read the next heading. I’ll show you a really powerful trick that will keep your reason in your face and at the forefront of your mind for the challenging times and throughout your transformation.
WHAT To Do With Your “WHY” Once You Find It?
So we have our why! Good job! Right, this is the best part because you can get really creative here. I have done this many times and it really works for me. Not only have I done this with fitness goals but I have done it with other aspects of life like business goals, etc.
This, for me, is a very powerful tool that should be used if you have any kind of personal aspiration at all. Nothing keeps your dreams alive like a visual aid. So what you need to do is to take your WHY and put it in a picture. This can be something that is blatantly obvious, say, a picture of you photoshopped to look the way you aim to look like, or it could be a picture of your children with a caption above them saying that this is all for them.
Or if you would rather keep it a secret, it could be something that reminds only you of your reason.
Whatever your reason is, put it into a physical, visual form. Once you have your picture of WHY, you can duplicate it as many times as you like and place it in the places where you may feel reluctant to train. I suggest:
- Bedside table, so it is the first thing that you see when you wake up
- The inside of your front door
- Your fridge
- Your desk at work
- Your microwave
- Next to your TV set.
You get the picture? The more places that you spread your reason, the better! Once you have your reason established, you can now start to plan HOW you go about getting your results. I cannot stress the importance of finding your reason. As you can probably tell by now, I believe that this is by far one of the most important things that you need to do before you start planning which diet or which exercise plan you intend to follow.
